Camping is available for athletes and families. The Hickory Campground is the closest campground to the race start and the preferred campground. One of two campgrounds in Bloomington Park, Hickory Campground provides over 220 campsites; 94 of which have electrical (30 amp) hookups. This campground also contains 16 shoreline sites, (within approx. 300 ft.), allowing campers with boats to beach their boat relatively close to their campsite.
Amenities in this park include four handicapped accessible comfort stations and an accessible shower building, A concrete hiking/biking path leads from this campground to the Bloomington beach. An accessible playground is located near the shower building.
The campgrounds of Walnut, Ash, and Elm are also close to the the race start.
