Javelin Ironman 70.3 Collegiate Championship Divisions

Athletes will sign up as a team at PACKET PICK-UP the week of the race. There will be a special Javelin Ironman 70.3 Collegiate Championship Table set up at registration. Team members must be from the same school.

Prizes will be awarded to the top five individual finishers, as well as the top three teams. 

Qualifications:

• Competition is reserved to full-time college students only.
• Students must be full-time students during the spring semester of 2008 to be eligible.
• No professional triathletes are eligible to compete in the Javelin Ironman 70.3 Collegiate Championship. 
• Teams can have an unlimited number of team members.  
• Team scoring will be based on the top 3 men's times and the top 2 women's times. (These 5 athletes overall times will be added for the total team time) 
• The Relay Division will have 3 awards – first overall male, first overall female and first overall Co-ed Relay Teams.

Awards will be given to the top three teams and top five individuals to complete theJavelin Ironman 70.3 Collegiate Championship.

There will also be a special "College Spirit" award given to the college or university team with the most participants.

Am I still eligible for Ironman World Championship 70.3 spots if I compete in theJavelin Ironman 70.3 Collegiate Championship?
Yes. Athletes who compete in theJavelin Ironman 70.3 Collegiate Championship still compete in their normal age group for Ironman World Championship 70.3 spots and age group awards.

I graduate in May of 2008, can I compete in the Javelin Ironman 70.3 Collegiate Championship?

No! Only full-time, enrolled students can compete in theJavelin Ironman 70.3 Collegiate Championship. That does include full-time Undergraduate, graduate, law and doctorate students. All students MUST provide a photo copy of their CURRENT Student ID with their application to have it accepted for theJavelin Ironman 70.3 Collegiate Championship!
